David Berland

When asked to list a favorite inspirational source, David Berland quotes Theodore Roosevelt, who writes in The Strenuous Life:

Far better is it to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checkered by failure…than to rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy nor suffer much, because they live in a gray twilight that knows not victory nor defeat.

Unlike Roosevelt’s timid “poor spirits,” David is open to new adventures. After earning a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, David went to work in the family printing business, learning all facets of the trade. He then embarked on a business career spanning from operating his own embroidery company to learning the promotional products industry in true seat-of-the-pants fashion. Today, David is a Certified Advertising Specialist with expertise in print management and a focus on marketing the senior healthcare industry.

David serves as president of the Ohio Promotional Professionals Association, as board president of the Sylvania Academic Excellence Foundation, and as a member of the Better Business Bureau Foundation board.

When he’s not working or volunteering, David enjoys watching sports. Beyond his long-standing loyalty to the Wisconsin Badgers, he cheers for every Chicago professional team – from the Cubs to the Bears, and from the White Sox to the Blackhawks. He’s an outdoor enthusiast, where you’ll likely find him walking, hiking, or biking.

Ever the explorer, David’s interests include traveling across the country and around the world. Along the way, he likes visiting those off-road “places of interest,” the signs for which dot the highways – and that most people pass by while hurrying to their ultimate destinations.

Ready to discover ways for your brand to triumph? Let David help you find a new path.
